Hope Award (Hero of Planet Earth Award)
1) Choose one of 12 Green Megatrend Categories you would like to contribute to. You can accumulate points for your community, environmental club and school.
2) You can receive a leadership position in each one of the 12 Categories. The leadership positions are in the following order:
a) Green Team Stadium Owner - The person who inspires the most people to become sponsors of your Green Team in order to support your project or environmental club. Sponsors can get regular seats, box seats or luxury suites.
The individuals with the next highest number of points (from highest to lowest numbers). Each of the 12 Categories will have their own leadership positions for each of the following:
a) Green Team Manager
b) Green Team Coach (up to three coaches)
c) Green Team Co-Captain (up to two co-captains)
d) Green Team Position of Your Choice - from Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey or other (eg- Pitcher, Quarterback, Forward, etc)
3) Start you own blog on blogger with your name followed by Green Team (John Doe Green Team.blogspot.com)
4) List your Category of Contribution (Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Energy Efficiency, Gardening, Environmental Stewardship, etc)
5) Have someone take a photo of you with your project and attach it to your blog to validate your project.
6) Give yourself the points you deserve
7) Choose your Leadership Position and add the image for your position onto your blog page
8) Send us the link to your blog so we can post it under the city and state of your community.
9) Update your blog, points and images as you add more projects
10) Whenever you help someone achieve points you get as many points as they do (Cooperation is the essence of Sustainability)
11) Scoring System: Give yourself one point for every hour your spent on the project. Two points if you were very efficient during that hour (you be the judge). Three points if you were very innovative or creative (your can share your experience on your blog) or received recognition.
